1st Sorrowful Mystery: Prayer to Saint Rita for hopeless causes
In this mystery, Lord, with St. Rita’s prayer, receive our psychological and moral situations: our inner wounds, anguish, and difficulties to overcome torments. We entrust you with all those who are desperate to seek the grace of a new hope. We entrust you with the souls of all those who have committed suicide; receive them to heaven, Lord, through your precious blood that has been shed for them. Amen.
2nd Sorrowful Mystery: Prayer for the sick
In this mystery, Lord, we entrust to Saint Rita all the sick, all those who are weak and undermined, and all of the elderly. Lord, give us more compassion so that we can bring charity, joy, and peace to all those in need. Friends, I invite you to entrust in your prayer all the sick, as well as ourselves, if necessary.
3rd Sorrowful Mystery: Saint Rita, obtain for us humility
In this mystery, Lord, we ask you for the gift of humility, along with St. Rita, who received the thorn of your crown. Come Lord by your Spirit and your Passion and help us to overcome all pride and grow closer to you. Thank you for the humility of the Virgin Mary whose heart was fully open to welcome you. Amen.
4th Sorrowful Mystery: Prayer to Saint Rita for our families
In this mystery Lord, with Saint Rita who was a tried mother and who prayed a lot for her children and her husband, we entrust to you our families, especially all parents in difficulty or who are worried for their children. Come and bless our families once again, Lord, give us the grace to persevere in true love for one another. I propose to you dear friends to entrust in your prayer all children or grandchildren who suffer in this mystery, especially those in our families. Amen.
5th Sorrowful Mystery: Prayer for all difficult situations
In this mystery, Lord, we hand over the trials we face in all aspects of our lives, including work, family, finances, and illness. Jesus, you have experienced your agonizing Passion in all aspects of your humanity in order to better reach us, and you are thus no stranger to any of our tribulations.
Thank you, Lord, for giving your life for our salvation, as well as the salvation of all saints past, present, and future. Thank you for all the saints who have participated in your Passion, especially on this day, Saint Rita, and, of course, our Holy Mother, our beloved Mother, the Virgin Mary. Lord, thank you for your salvation. Amen.
